Ross the Boss!

Friday, September 30th, 2005

There are times when I think that we should update the news more often. This is clearly one of those times. The East Coast tour is progressing nicely. I’ve got the plane tickets and the van reservation squared away, and more than half of the dates have been confirmed. We’ve got some good ones lined up too–I never thought we would share the stage with The Brain Surgeons once I found out who they were. Check the shows page for dates and venues.

In local news, there’s a Sky Pilots album release/tour kickoff party on Nov. 3, at The Knockout in San Francisco. Rumor has it the band itself will be in attendance, possibly with instruments in hand. All are invited. Final track listing for the album:

  1. 90×90
  2. Bridge Too Long
  3. The Doer
  4. It Takes A Little More
  5. Time Gunner
  6. Prospect Theory
  7. Hats Off To The Comeback
  8. Our Name Rings Out

Book of Maps

Tuesday, September 13th, 2005

Long time folks, long time. We’ve scheduled some East Coast shows for our November tour of the Eastern Seaboard. We played a show with Book of Maps, from Portland, who slayed. No kidding, these guys ruled. Try to imagine… well, they escape description. They’re still on tour, so check them out if you can.

In other news, Bill moved to San Francisco (finally), the CD is mastered and sounds hot (the MP3s have been updated with the latest versions), and we’re about to start screening the art. We will hand screen 500 of these — the CD release date has been pushed back to some time in October. We’ll keep you posted.
